Loredana Magistri is Full Professor of Energy and Environmental Systems at University of Genoa, Italy, since 2019. Academic career started at the Rolls-Royce University Technology Centre in Genoa.

Research interests
Applied research in innovative energy systems. Main expertise includes analysis and simulation of high temperature fuel cell systems (MCFC, SOFC), hybrid systems for distributed power generation, carbon capture and sequestration, hydrogen energy storage and chemical production.
Development of simulation codes for advanced and hybrid power plants integrating fuel cells and energy conversion systems.
Research results
Author of more than 60 scientific papers in international journals.
Reviewer for international scientific journals.
Leadership and funding
Participant in several European and international research projects, including:
H2020 projects: Bio-HyPP (Biogas-fired Combined Hybrid Heat and Power Plant), MEFCO2 (Methanol synthesis from captured CO₂), ENVISION (Energy harvesting in buildings).
FCHJU project: GENIUS (diagnosis instrument for SOFC systems).
Involvement in national and international collaborations with industry and research institutions.
National and international advisor positions
Reviewer for international scientific journals.
Collaboration with international research centers and industrial partners, including Rolls-Royce Fuel Cell Systems and Fincantieri.
