UNESCO chair



Since 2021 TPG-UNIGE coordinates the UniTwin/UNESCO Chair Innovative,Sustainable and Clean Energy Research and Education. (Chair Holder: Prof. Ing. Aristide F. Massardo)

The Network includes 13 partners (both Research Centres and Universities) from 11 Countries, located in EU, Africa, North and South America and focuses on the UNESCO SDG7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), with strong connections with SDG4 (Education and Research) and SDG10 (Equity).


Among the key-targets of the Chair:

-            Knowledge sharing with Extra-EU developing Countries

-            Promotion of green successful technologies already tested and proven in EU

-            EU citizens sensibilization towards energy consumption reduction

-            Quality Education

In this framework, an extensive training program has been realized by the Partners which constitute the Network Chair. The program is divided in two courses, fully available online and open to citizens from all over the world to help reaching the targets above reported.

The Chair focuses on different main topics linked to the energy and environmental sustainability, such as:

-            Green energy transition

-            Hydrogen revolution

-            Sustainable transport

-            Bioenergy in agriculture

-            Energy access for all
