The HERMES project aims to design an advanced multi-energy system (MES), which intelligently integrate reversible high temperature solid oxide cells with up to 100% renewable energy power generators (e.g. photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, etc.) and storage systems (e.g. fuel tanks, batteries, etc.). The MES system is mainly oriented towards polygeneration uses where electricity can be produced from renewable energy sources and combustion systems that function as fuel cells, while providing heat and refrigeration.
TPG role
TPG-UNIGE coordinates the project; furthermore, it is involved in dissemination activities. Furthermore, it develops within the laboratories installed at the Savona Campus the Cyber Physical system, which will allow to test the control algorithms throughout the coupling of hardware components and software emulators.
