The objective of the project is to study and promote energy saving of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems combined with the reduction of water consumption, addressing these two problems from a new sustainable perspective. On the one hand, we consider the increase in water needs due to population growth, and at the same time the fact that traditional water sources and basins are already being depleted and water-related problems, such as drought and scarcity, are already affecting over 2 billion people. On the other hand, the focus is on reducing carbon emissions which can be helped by increasing the efficiency of HVAC systems. This topic focuses mainly on existing systems, which are very widespread and therefore have a significant impact on energy consumption.
